Conduct
- Participants are expected to treat one another with the utmost respect. You work with these people, so it’s in your best interest to not act poorly to those you’re competing against!
- Plagiarizing code will not be tolerated, and we will be checking! Using Stack Overflow is fine as long as you are not directly copy-pasting code solutions into your hack. Your hack, your code!
- Don’t break any laws, don’t damage any of the facilities, don’t do anything you wouldn’t do around your grandparents.
- Have fun! This is a great opportunity to show everyone at SAP your stuff, but this should be a fun experience for yourself and others.
Safety
- Get some sleep! We understand that one of the unspoken rules of a hackathon is that your sleep gets sacrificed. We are not into that idea! Make sure you’re getting the minimum doctor-recommended 6 hours of sleep. You should not be staying onsite at SAP outside of hacking or working time.
- Keep yourself fed and hydrated! No, energy drinks are not hydration! Drink plenty of water, and try to eat something. We’ll be providing dinner at 5:00 PM on Thursday, so come and pick up some pizza!
